From Atlantic coastline to the studio.

Ana Kula is a contemporary artist working in Tenerife, Canary Islands. Her practice centres on handmade epoxy-resin ocean art on wood, informed by the movement of the Atlantic, volcanic coastlines, black-sand beaches and aerial views of island forms.

Artistic Inspiration

Water against volcanic land.

The contrast between luminous water and dark volcanic terrain gives the work its recurring visual tension. Transparent and pigmented resin is layered to suggest depth, current, foam and changing ocean colour.

Materials & Process

Built slowly, finished by hand.

Each original is developed individually. Composition, resin layers, surface texture and finishing are handled as part of one continuous process, allowing every work to retain its own coastline, movement and depth.

Studio in Tenerife

Canary Islands as place and subject.

Tenerife is both Ana’s working base and a continuing source of visual material. The broader Canary Islands appear through coastlines, island silhouettes, volcanic textures and the scale of the Atlantic around them.
